India's Independence Day on 15 August is a reminder of the long, hard-fought battle for liberation led by leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.

The day serves as a reminder of the value of freedom and the responsibility of every citizen to uphold and protect it.
