The Auxiliary Power Unit Safir 5K/G-MI is designed to supply air to engine starters and Environmental Control Systems, to drive the AC generator and to supply power to the hydraulic systems. It also features a dual speed sensor, an exhaust gas temperature sensor, oil and fuel gauges and warning sensors which highlight filter contamination and low oil levels. Additional features include a number of instruments/gauges which show the APU’s parameters and digital signals from the control box RS422 serial interface, along with operation parameters and failures.
